Automatic Bitcoin buys in Spain: Finst or Relai?
For a monthly Bitcoin purchase, compare the whole journey: euros arriving, the purchase executing and BTC reaching your wallet. A low trading fee answers only one part of that choice.

Choose the funding workflow first
The source question comes from someone in Spain seeking about €200 of automatic monthly Bitcoin buying, with wallet withdrawal costs included. Manual order-book purchases do not meet that request. Their concerns about spreads are opinions, not measurements we have verified.
Finst is worth comparing if you can keep a euro balance funded before the scheduled purchase and want an optional automatic withdrawal. Relai is worth comparing if you prefer a Bitcoin purchase linked to a bank-funded order and wallet delivery. Neither is established as the cheapest complete route.
| Check | Finst | Relai |
|---|---|---|
| Spain access | Spain is on the accepted-country list. Adult EU applicants need a EUR bank account at an EU bank; acceptance requires checks. | Spain is listed for Android and iOS app availability. Installation does not prove that your application or payment will be accepted. |
| What funds the purchase? | Your available EUR balance. Arrange the bank transfer early enough for it to be credited. | A bank payment matched to an open order, or a saved card/payment method charged automatically. |
| If funding fails | The purchase is skipped when the euro balance is insufficient. Do not assume that a later deposit replays it. | A bank order has an expiry window. Card charges have a separate retry rule; the price can change before successful payment. |
| Wallet delivery | Optional automatic withdrawal after each purchase, with a separate withdrawal charge. | The setup guide allows selecting an external wallet for the purchase. Review the destination and final amount in the order. |
| Changing the plan | Plans can be edited, paused or cancelled. | The setup guide says changing the IBAN, amount or currency requires a new plan. |

Compare €200 of spending, not just two percentages
Finst lists a 0.15% transaction fee. Applied to €200 of transaction value, that fee alone is €0.30. This arithmetic excludes wallet withdrawal and does not tell you the executed Bitcoin price or final BTC received.
Relai lists a standard 1% service fee, reduced to 0.9% with a qualifying invite code, plus a dynamic spread. The standard fee on €200 of transaction value is €2 before other costs. Its first-monthly-plan promotion up to €100 does not establish a free €200 order. Card, Apple Pay and Google Pay add 3%, so compare bank-funded orders separately.
Set the same total EUR budget on both services. Record euros debited, BTC bought, execution time and BTC delivered after any withdrawal charge. A quote from another time is not a fair price comparison. Relai sets its own price rather than routing your order to an external order book; its EU pricing policy explains this distinction.
Automatic wallet delivery can save effort but incur a withdrawal charge each time. Compare delivery after every purchase with less frequent manual withdrawal, accounting for the longer period of exchange custody. We have not verified current withdrawal minimums or a live final quote, so cannot name a net-BTC winner.
Bank timing is part of automation
Finst needs credited euros before execution. A standing order at your bank and a recurring purchase on the platform are separate instructions; check that their timing works together.
Relai’s EU pricing policy says monthly bank-funded orders open 96 hours before the scheduled occurrence and lapse 24 days after it. The price refreshes every 30 minutes until payment, and becomes final when funds are received. Its help article contains inconsistent descriptions of payment windows, so check the current EU policy and your actual open order before scheduling a bank payment.
For card-funded Relai orders, the policy describes an automatic charge and one retry after 30 minutes if funds are insufficient. That convenience has a different payment cost. A calendar date alone is not proof that either purchase executed.
Verify the wallet route before automating it
- Use your own Bitcoin wallet and check its receiving address on the trusted wallet interface. Keep recovery words offline; do not provide them to an exchange.
- For Finst, add the owned address to the address book and complete any required verification. Its asset list specifies Bitcoin for BTC and warns that hosted-exchange transfers are temporarily unavailable. An exchange deposit address is not interchangeable with a self-hosted wallet.
- Review the withdrawal fee and minimum shown for the actual account. A small first transfer must still clear those limits and costs an additional fee.
- Confirm both the purchase and wallet receipt before relying on unattended delivery. If an order is skipped, a wallet check is pending or the amount is unexpected, resolve it before the next scheduled cycle.
