Do not send USDT first. Confirm the exact network and a live EUR sale quote.
For an occasional client payment, the usable route is the one that accepts your exact USDT network, lets your verified account sell it, and sends EUR to a same-name Spanish IBAN.
Bit2Me is a conditional direct route; Kraken and Coinbase are not.
Bit2Me: verify before transfer
Bit2Me documents crypto receipts, a sale into its euro wallet and SEPA withdrawal to an IBAN held in the account owner’s name. Its live operation screen overrides the general asset list, so generate the deposit screen first and match both token and network.
The published wallet-sale schedule lists a 0.95% operational fee and says the quote can include spread up to 1.20%. Use the confirmation screen—not the headline rate—to record the EUR you would receive.
Kraken and Coinbase: do not use as a new USDT destination
Kraken’s EEA notice includes Spain and says USDT cannot be traded there; deposits are not recommended. Coinbase says relevant EEA retail customers cannot receive or trade USDT. A withdrawal-only allowance is not a USDT-to-EUR sale route.
If the client can change future payments, agree the replacement asset and network before they send. Do not treat a similarly named stablecoin or an unsupported chain as interchangeable.
02 / One safe dry run
Write down the whole route before using the full payment.
Open the receiving screen. Confirm that USDT deposits are available for your verified Spain account and copy the exact supported network. If the client’s network differs, stop.
Check the sale preview. Enter the same USDT amount you expect and record the final EUR after the quoted fee and spread. A token market price is not the amount reaching your bank.
Confirm the bank leg. The destination must be a same-name IBAN. Bit2Me says SEPA withdrawals may take one to five business days; account checks can still affect timing.
Keep the evidence. Save the client invoice, wallet transaction ID, exchange sale confirmation, fees and bank receipt. This page does not decide Spanish tax treatment or source-of-funds requirements.
Test small when possible. A successful test confirms this account and network at that moment; it does not guarantee future availability.
