Automate the purchase. Plan the withdrawal separately.
Strike is worth checking if you want scheduled Bitcoin purchases and a balance-triggered withdrawal. Kraken offers scheduled buying in its regular app; Kraken Pro is the manual order-book alternative. Your choice depends on how much attention you want to give each purchase, the final BTC received and how long you will leave it with the platform.
EUR bank funding→Scheduled or manual buy→Separate Bitcoin withdrawal
01 / Choose the workflow
Two scheduled options. One manual comparison.
Scheduled buying + threshold withdrawal
Strike personal account
Its EU fee page waives the trading fee after the first week of daily or hourly recurring buys, or from the second weekly or monthly purchase. The waiver is for personal accounts. The starting ordinary tier is 0.89% below €50,000 in monthly fee-level volume.
Best fit to investigate: you want recurring buys and can accept the withdrawal threshold and queue described below. Compare the executed purchase price as well as the fee; a waived trading charge does not establish the best EUR-to-BTC exchange rate.
Verified accounts can schedule daily, weekly, biweekly or monthly purchases, including from a cash balance. Kraken’s public schedule lists a 1% trading fee for recurring orders, plus an included spread and any applicable payment charge. Check the final confirmation for your account.
Best fit to investigate: you already use Kraken and value its built-in schedule. Kraken+ can waive eligible trading fees within its allowance, but spreads remain. Count any subscription cost you would add specifically for this plan. A purchase schedule alone does not establish an automatic withdrawal schedule.
Built-in recurring orders are not available on Kraken Pro. Compare its account-specific spot maker/taker fee and actual execution price with the scheduled options. A limit order can remain unfilled; an immediately executed limit order need not qualify for a maker fee.
Best fit to investigate: you are willing to place and monitor orders yourself. Do not treat an unfilled cheaper bid as a completed purchase, or compare a Pro fee with the regular app’s automation as though they were the same product.

02 / Fund the intended purchase mode
A standing bank transfer is not a recurring buy order.
Strike’s European funding guide supports EUR SEPA transfers from a bank account in your own name. It gives a typical arrival time of two business days, or seconds with SEPA Instant. The deposit screen also offers an “Auto-buy bitcoin” switch. That converts an arriving deposit; the EU fee schedule puts automatic SEPA-deposit buys in its ordinary trading-fee system. Do not assume a repeating bank transfer receives the recurring-order waiver. For a cash-funded recurring order, leave enough EUR available for its scheduled execution. EU funding instructions · Which trades use the fee tiers.
Strike’s recurring schedule uses UTC, so its local clock time can shift with daylight saving. Insufficient funds can cause purchases to fail, and three cumulative failures from insufficient cash cancel the schedule. Check the active order and receipt after changing your funding arrangement. Schedule and failure rules.
For German clients, Kraken’s current country update lists standard EUR funding, including SEPA methods with a €1 minimum and no listed deposit fee. Processing varies by method: Bank Frick lists up to three business days; supported instant methods can be faster. Use the deposit instructions in your account. Germany funding update.
Germany is the selected market for this comparison. Strike’s EU eligibility page describes eligible European users without a complete personal-account country list. Confirm that your actual residence and account are accepted before funding; business availability is not evidence that a personal account qualifies. Strike EU eligibility.
03 / Decide when BTC leaves the platform
Daily buys do not mean daily delivery to your wallet.
Strike’s documented auto-withdrawal threshold starts at 0.01 BTC (1,000,000 sats). Only available BTC counts. Reaching the threshold queues the full available balance, rather than just the threshold amount, using its Flexible on-chain tier at no on-chain charge to you. The documentation describes a 12-hour cancellation window and broadcast within 24 hours of reaching the threshold; blockchain confirmation follows. Account limits still apply. Auto-withdrawal conditions.
If you want to move a smaller balance sooner, inspect a manual withdrawal’s current minimum, fee and delivery option. Do not increase your purchases just to trigger automation. With Kraken, check the Bitcoin-network withdrawal minimum and charge at confirmation; its support page says these can change. Strike withdrawal options · Kraken withdrawal conditions.
A threshold example, not a price forecast
Suppose your available balance is 0.004 BTC and each completed purchase adds exactly 0.001 BTC. Six more such purchases reach 0.01 BTC. If one purchase remains pending, the available balance has not yet reached that threshold. A fixed EUR purchase will actually buy a varying BTC amount, so this arithmetic cannot predict the date of withdrawal.
Choose both a balance limit and a maximum time you are comfortable leaving funds with the platform. If the automatic trigger does not fit that choice, compare manual withdrawals instead.
For an existing Trezor, obtain a Bitcoin receiving address from the correct account in Trezor Suite and verify it on the device. Use the matching Bitcoin network at the sender. A Lightning invoice is a different destination. Trezor’s receiving checks. Strike accepts a list of withdrawal addresses; when that list runs out it reuses the last one, so maintain it if you want fresh receiving addresses. Address-list behavior.
04 / Compare like with like
Record the cost of one complete purchase cycle.
Match the budget and mode. Record total EUR debited, including separate funding charges. Label the quote as a first scheduled buy, a later waived-fee buy, an automatic SEPA conversion or a manual Pro order.
Record BTC after purchase costs. Use the actual quoted or executed BTC, not the chart price. Do not subtract a trading fee again if the displayed BTC already includes it. Future scheduled prices are unknown.
Account for the chosen withdrawal. Subtract its BTC fee once and check the minimum. For several buys followed by one withdrawal, count one withdrawal charge; for several withdrawals, count each.
Keep custody and execution comparable. Note remaining BTC on the platform, pending funds and unfilled Pro orders. More BTC still held on an exchange is not more BTC delivered to your wallet.
Choose among eligible workflows that meet your timing needs. If the cost difference is small for your budget, the ability to keep the intended schedule can matter more than a headline fee. There is no evidence here that buying more frequently improves returns.
