Buy the Bitcoin. Compare what reaches your wallet.
If you already own Tangem, you can compare its in-app purchase providers with buying through a separate Bitcoin platform. Include the cost and availability of the final withdrawal before choosing.

01 / Match the service to your purchase
One purchase and a recurring plan have different costs.

Tangem’s purchase providers
The Buy flow offers third-party services such as Mercuryo, MoonPay, Simplex and Unlimit. Tangem asks you to confirm your country before choosing an available provider.
Fees depend on the provider, payment method, asset, currency and residence. Record the total USD charged and the BTC the provider says will arrive at your wallet. Do not assume the fee in an old review is today’s quote.
River currently lists a 1% fee for one-time orders up to $1 million. Recurring buys become zero-fee after the initial period: daily purchases from day eight; weekly purchases from the second order. The first purchase still has a fee.
River serves US residents in supported states; Nevada and New York are excluded. Only settled BTC can be withdrawn. Its auto-withdrawal documentation specifies a 0.005 BTC minimum threshold and network fees, so a small first purchase may need a different withdrawal method.
Strike documents Bitcoin buying, selling and holding in all 50 US states, D.C. and Puerto Rico. Verification and account conditions still apply.
Its fees page separates trading charges from on-chain delivery choices and describes a Flexible option without an on-chain send fee. Check your actual purchase and withdrawal preview, including delivery time, funding availability and any current fee waivers. A free withdrawal does not make the purchase itself free.
These are ordinary official links. No affiliate commission is active on this page. We have not made test purchases with these services; your own account quotes determine the comparison.
02 / Compare the completed purchase
Ask for the same USD spend. Compare the final BTC received.
Use one budget. Compare quotes close together for the same total USD debit, including any separately charged card or bank fee.
Follow each route to your wallet. For an in-app purchase, use the final BTC delivery amount. For a separate platform, subtract its quoted BTC withdrawal charge from the BTC bought. Do not subtract a fee twice if it is already included.
Separate today from later purchases. Calculate the first purchase using its actual fee. Treat any recurring discount as a future condition, not a discount on today’s order.
Check when you can withdraw. A visible BTC balance can still be unsettled. Compare the time until you can send, not just the time until the purchase appears.
If a provider cannot show the complete cost or delivery conditions, leave that route unresolved. Choose only among routes available to your verified account that meet your timing needs.
Receive native Bitcoin.
Use the receiving details shown for Bitcoin in your Tangem app and choose the matching Bitcoin network at the sending service. An on-chain Bitcoin address is not a Lightning invoice. Do not substitute a wrapped token or another network merely because its withdrawal looks cheaper.
Common purchase questions
What is the cheapest way to buy Bitcoin for Tangem?
For your purchase, it is the eligible route that delivers more native BTC for the same complete USD spend while meeting your timing requirements. There is no universal winner from the advertised trading fee alone.
Do I need to buy another hardware wallet?
No. This comparison is about funding the Tangem wallet you already own. Choosing a different purchase platform does not require buying another device.
Should I leave Bitcoin on an exchange to reduce withdrawal fees?
Combining purchases into fewer withdrawals can change the cost, but it also leaves the balance with the platform longer. Choose a withdrawal schedule that fits your custody preference; there is no universal amount everyone should accumulate first.
